From Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD)

By Metro

Take Line 8 from the airport (Terminals 2/4) to Nuevos Ministerios. Then change to Line 10 direction Hospital Infanta Sofía and ride two stops to Santiago Bernabéu.

By Cercanías Train

From Terminal 4, take a Cercanías commuter train to Nuevos Ministerios or Chamartín. Then continue by Metro Line 10 or taxi to the stadium.

Airport Express Bus

The Airport Express bus links the airport with Cibeles and Atocha. From there, use the metro (Line 1 + Line 10) or taxi to reach Santiago Bernabéu.

Taxis & Rideshares

Official Madrid taxis have a flat fare to and from the airport. Ask to be dropped near Av. de Concha Espina 1 / Paseo de la Castellana at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.

Luggage

Large suitcases are not ideal on stadium visits or tours. If possible, leave bags at your hotel or a luggage storage facility before heading to Bernabéu.

Driving, Parking & Bikes

Driving

Traffic around Paseo de la Castellana can be heavy, especially at rush hour and on match days. If you drive, allow extra time and check for any city centre driving restrictions or low-emission zones.

Parking

There are paid public car parks near the stadium and along nearby streets, but spaces fill quickly for major games. Always check local signage and consider pre-booking a space if possible.

Bike & E-Scooter

Madrid has BiciMAD and e-scooter services. Only park in designated areas and never leave bikes where they block entrances, roads or emergency routes around the stadium.

Accessibility

Santiago Bernabéu offers step-free access and specific entrances for visitors with reduced mobility. Check your tour or match ticket and the official stadium website for the recommended accessible route.

Practical Visit Tips

Arrive Early

For tours, arrive at least 15–20 minutes before your time slot. For matches, aim for 60–90 minutes early to clear security, find your gate, and settle in.

Match Days vs. Tour Days

On match days, streets and metro trains are busier and some tour areas may be closed or have reduced hours. If you only want the Tour Bernabéu, non-match days are usually more relaxed.

Bags & Security

Expect bag checks at entrances. Avoid large backpacks and restricted items. For matches, follow the club’s latest regulations on allowed bag sizes and objects.
